Lanette is originally from Raleigh, NC and attended Bennett College, located in Greensboro, NC, where she graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communications with a concentration in Print Journalism.  While at Bennett Lanette devoted her time working for the campus newspaper, perfecting her writing skills, and volunteering at local agencies around the city of Greensboro.
